The Marconi Express service and Coronavirus prevention
Ensuring the safest possible environment for workers and passengers is our top priority. We therefore take all necessary measures to contain the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus in ways that are in some cases more precautionary than those prescribed by the authorities.
EU Digital COVID Certificate
From Apr 1 2022, access to the Marconi Express service will no longer require COVID-19 / Green Pass certification.
Symptoms
Do not use public transport if you have symptoms of respiratory infection (fever, cough, cold).
Purchase of tickets
The purchase of tickets through digital channels (website, app) or the use of “Pay & go” technology (payment at the turnstile through contactless systems) is recommended.
Masks and sanitizing gel
To access Marconi Express stations and vehicles it is necessary to wear Ffp2 or more protective masks without valve. It is also necessary to sanitize the hands with hydroalcoholic gel made available to passengers.
Routes
Passengers must follow the signs on the ground: blue arrows for the entry routes and green arrows to exit. The indicated paths maximize the separation of flows while keeping accessibility to the system safe and functional. The Lazzaretto station lift can only be used by passengers with disabilities and by passengers with reduced mobility (PRM)
In the vehicles
The vehicles are equipped with adequate systems for air conditioning and renewal.
Disinfection
Vehicles, stations and, in particular, turnstiles, are sanitized every day with specific products based on sodium hypochlorite or chlorine.
During the scheduled maintenance, extraordinary cleaning is also carried out with sanitizing of the air filters of the heating and conditioning systems.
Assistance
Passenger assistance staff is present to help with the entry and exit procedures, and to ensure compliance with safety measures. It is also always possible to contact the service operators through special call buttons present in the stations and on the vehicles.
