The Marconi Express service and Coronavirus prevention
Ensuring the safest possible environment for workers and passengers is our top priority. We therefore take all necessary measures to contain the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus in ways that are in some cases more precautionary than those prescribed by the authorities.
EU Digital COVID Certificate
From Dec 6 2021, to enter the Marconi Express service you must have your green pass, EU Digital COVID certificate. From Jan 10 2022, only EU Digital COVID certificate by vaccination or recovery is accepted. You must show it in case of controls.
Do not use public transport if you have symptoms of respiratory infection (fever, cough, cold).
Purchase of tickets
The purchase of tickets through digital channels (website, app) or the use of “Pay & go” technology (payment at the turnstile through contactless systems) is recommended.
Masks and sanitizing gel
To access Marconi Express stations and vehicles it is necessary to wear Ffp2 or more protective masks without valve. It is also necessary to sanitize the hands with hydroalcoholic gel made available to passengers.
In the stations it is necessary to maintain an interpersonal distance of at least one metre. While waiting for the vehicles, the passengers position themselves on the blue markings drawn on the floor to guarantee the necessary distance. There are additional floor signs to regulate entry and exit from vehicles. Before getting into the vehicles, wait for all passengers to get off. Wait outside, should the docks be crowded.
Passengers must follow the signs on the ground: blue arrows for the entry routes and green arrows to exit. The indicated paths maximize the separation of flows while keeping accessibility to the system safe and functional. The Lazzaretto station lift can only be used by passengers with disabilities and by passengers with reduced mobility (PRM)
In the vehicles
A maximum of 20 passengers is allowed for each of the two compartments of each car (80% of normal capacity, in compliance with the Italian regulations in force). The vehicles are equipped with adequate systems for air conditioning and renewal.
Vehicles, stations and, in particular, turnstiles, are sanitized every day with specific products based on sodium hypochlorite or chlorine.
During the scheduled maintenance, extraordinary cleaning is also carried out with sanitizing of the air filters of the heating and conditioning systems.
In the first months of operation, passenger assistance staff will be present to help with the entry and exit procedures, and to ensure compliance with safety measures. It will also always be possible to contact the service operators through special call buttons present in the stations and on the vehicles.
In order to help health authorities with contact tracing procedures, it is recommended to install and use the Immuni APP on your smartphone.
