Fast, frequent, convenient and also sustainable. Marconi Express is an environmentally friendly transportation system that, from January 1 to November 30, 2022, has saved more than 685 tons of CO2<\/sub> by reducing traffic and road pollution: the calculation is the result of multiplying the 1,340,114 passengers transported in the same time frame by a coefficient that takes into account the average emissions of a car, the average journey to Bologna airport, and the share of users who would have moved by their own vehicle as an alternative to Marconi Express.<\/p>\n

In addition, in the first eleven months of 2022, the 1,904 photovoltaic panels installed on the parapet of the safety walkway along the runway produced more than 525.8 MWh, thus providing about 35 percent of Marconi Express’ energy needs. The remaining energy needed to operate the system is currently sourced on the market from certified green suppliers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
