Marconi Express announces that, with the imminent return of the vehicle currently undergoing a general overhaul<\/strong>, the company is working to ensure the availability of the entire fleet for the summer period<\/strong>. The general overhaul \u2013 which is mandatory for public transport vehicles to ensure their long-term technical efficiency and safety \u2013 will, by the end of the summer, cover the third and final vehicle in the system\u2019s fleet.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, from Tuesday 12 to Monday 18 May<\/strong>, the monorail service will be suspended for routine scheduled maintenance<\/strong>, aimed at ensuring high standards of safety and quality. During this period, work will be carried out to restore the resin and other maintenance on the systems, which has been scheduled to minimise the impact on passengers at Marconi Airport, coinciding with public holidays, trade fairs and major events in Bologna and the region.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the optimisation of maintenance management<\/strong> and the introduction of new procedures and technologies<\/strong>, the frequency and duration of monorail service suspensions for maintenance have been reduced over the past year, with the frequency now occurring approximately every 6 to 9 months and the duration reduced from 12 to 7 days.<\/p>\n

Once the scheduled maintenance work has been completed, the monorail service will resume as normal at 5.40 am on Tuesday 19 May.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From Tuesday 12 to Monday 18 May,<\/strong> the connection between the airport and Bologna Central Station, and vice versa, will be provided from 5.40 am until midnight via a replacement shuttle bus service<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To accommodate the infrastructure works currently underway on the road network, the shuttle buses will depart from the following points<\/strong>:<\/p>\n
