Marconi Express announces that, from Tuesday 30 September to Saturday 11 October, the monorail service will be suspended, as provided for in the maintenance programme aimed at guaranteeing the quality of the service.
During this period, the resin on the running route will be restored and other minor works will be carried out: the maintenance operations have been grouped together to reduce inconvenience for passengers and interfere as little as possible with traffic at Marconi Airport during holidays and major trade fairs.
The monorail service will return to regular service at 5.40 a.m. on Sunday 12 October.
During the suspension, from 5.40 a.m. to midnight, the connection between Bologna Airport and Bologna Central Station, and vice versa, will be operated by shuttle buses, with the following departure points:
- at the airport, ground floor, arrivals exit;
- at Lazzaretto Station, via Terracini;
- at Bologna Central Station, via Carracci.
The transfer takes about 25 minutes and includes an intermediate stop at Lazzaretto station.
The costs and methods of purchasing tickets for the substitute shuttle bus service are the same as for the monorail service.
Should the operations undergo variations, updated information will be published on the website and on all Marconi Express channels.
