Marconi Express announces that, for technical reasons, the monorail service will run every 15 minutes until Friday 5 June. A supplementary shuttle bus service is in operation, departing from the following locations:
- at the airport on the ground floor at the arrivals exit;
- at Lazzaretto station in Via Terracini;
- at the central station in Via Carracci.
Shuttle bus journeys take approximately 35–40 minutes, with services running roughly every hour. Due to ongoing roadworks, passengers are advised to allow plenty of time for their journeys.
Please also note that on the morning of Friday 5 June, the monorail service will be temporarily suspended to allow the vehicle currently undergoing a general overhaul to be returned to service. A replacement shuttle bus service will therefore be provided, running approximately every 16–18 minutes.
The cost and method of purchasing tickets for the replacement shuttle bus service remain unchanged from the monorail service, meaning that tickets already purchased can be used without any additional cost or further formalities.
The company is working to restore the monorail service to its normal frequency once the vehicle has been reintegrated into the system and the technical checks have been completed, ensuring that the entire fleet is available throughout the summer.
